Galaxy Core Introduced by Samsung

Samsung introduced Galaxy Core handset today in their press release site. The Galaxy Core smartphone is equipped with a 1.2 GHz dual-core application processor, 1 GB RAM and 8 GB internal memory and supports upto 64 GB via microSD slot. The display of Galaxy Core is 4.3″ (inch) WVGA TFT LCD screen. This is just a mid range phone Samsung want to introduce in the market.

The specification of Galaxy Core is nearly the same as Galaxy S II but bit Lower than Galaxy S II and the design looks like Samsung Galaxy S III. Galaxy Core coming in 2 colors, Blue & White  This phone supports dual SIM cards. But there is another version of this phone which consists 1 SIM card available in July 2 months after dual-SIM version released.

The phone will be running on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. Samsung has added their Samsung Apps, TouchWiz UI (user interface), Smart Stay, Smart Alert, Motion UI, S Voice, Samsung Kies, Kies Air, Samsung Hub (Game, Readers / Music), ChatON too.

There is a 5 MP rear camera with LED flash and a secondary VGA camera in the front side. You can playback and record only 480p video at 30fps, not that great I would say. But hey this is a mid range device, don’t forget that. But Galaxy Core comes with a long lasting 1,800 mAh Li-ion battery.

The smartphone comes with built-in Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth 3.0, MicroUSB supports USB 2.0, A-GPS for global positioning and navigation. The weight is 124g which is 8g more than Galaxy S II and 9g less than Galaxy S III.
