Motorola Moto G now can be rooted. Paul O’Brien has uploaded files and instructions on MoDaCo to root Moto G. This is a fantastic phone for the money and the specs. Recently released Moto G didn’t have any way to root before. This is the first rooting created for this device.
This is a very cheap phone and nice built under a £150 budget. Amazon started taking pre-orders when the phone was announced and giving a 10% off. Now Amazon showing 16 GB out of stock as of today and 8 GB will dispatch . Recently Tesco Mobile is selling Moto G for £99 but locked to Tesco Mobile.
Rooting Moto G is very easy and straight-forward. You need to have an unlocked bootloader. Be careful, unlocking the bootloader will wipe your device. Don’t forget to take a backup of what you need. If you didn’t unlock your Moto G’s bootloader yet and want to do it, just follow the instructions on MoDaCo thread.
You need to reboot into bootloader and run the .bat file on Windows or commands on other OS. You can root Moto G from Windows, Mac & Linux.
