Sony has announced their new flagship Xperia XZ recently in IFA Berlin event and the phone is now released. This phone is now dust and water-resistant again which wasn’t available on the first X series phones. Such as Xperia X, XA & XA Ultra models. Sony’s new flagship brings new and improved industry leading 23 MP camera sensor at the back and 13 MP front shooter, and both have Exmor RS sensor.
Sony used their original Exmor RS for mobile image sensor to offer high quality image. They included Predictive Hybrid AF to intelligently predict and track moving subjects for blur-free pictures. The Laser AF sensor comes with distance sensing technology, which captures beautiful pictures in low light conditions such as indoors, evenings, night. Also, there is a RGBC-IR sensor which adjusts the white balance depending on the light source of the environment.
The 23MP main camera not only provides clear shots, but also super-fast startup, from standby to capture in 0.6 seconds with the touch of a dedicated shutter release button. This make sure that you are ready to capture the perfect moment anytime around you.
Xperia XZ comes with a 13MP front facing camera for the selfie lovers, with its 22mm wide-angle lens it will capture wider area and brighter images even in low-light condition. Xperia XZ also offers the highest quality recording in 4k so you get sharp, crisp footage that is full of detail.
Here is my Xperia XZ F8331 unboxing video. Apologies for the background noise in advance in video below. That is just a whole aircon unit running above me.
Xperia XZ comes with 2,900 mAh battery and features new Battery Care which contains Qnovo adaptive charging which is found in the Xperia X series, but this time it is better. This keeps your battery healthy and make the lifespan last up to twice as long. Qnovo adaptive charging will watch and adjust the charging current to avoid damage for battery longevity. Battery Care will learn your device charging habits and control the charging based on that. It avoids excess charging by pausing charge at 90% and only completes the charging just before it’s needed. Also, comes with quick charge and Sony’s favourite STAMINA Mode.
The phone is powered by Snapdragon 820 processor. Contains 3GB RAM and 32/64GB internal storage with expandable up to 256GB using microSD card. USB Type-C port for fast data transfer.
