Google Nexus Experience Device – Coming June 26th

Google announced Google Nexus experience device recently with bootloader unlocked, a great joy for the developers. The devices are coming with stock Android and Google will support them as a Nexus device. The Nexus Experience Devices will get the updates fast from Google once they update anything. Google didn’t announce any Nexus device this year but announced two device with Google Experience.

The first Nexus Experience they announced was Samsung Galaxy S4 on Google I/O 2013. The second one is HTC One which Google and HTC just announced preety recently. The big thing is HTC One will receive Android 4.3 shortly after Google start selling them and it is now confirmed. Both of the smartphones were sold nice amount after they were released. Samsung sold 10 million and HTC sold 5 million devices. The Google Nexus Experience Devices are only for USA at the moment. Google hasn’t planned anything for the rest of the world yet.

Google Nexus Experience Device – Samsung Galaxy S4

We’ve posted about the high-end Android smartphone Samsung Galaxy S4 before. Users will get the full stock Android experience. Google is removing Samsung’s TouchWiz Nature UX 2.0 and lots of bloat-ware which was eating all the space from its 16GB internal space. Lots of users of Galaxy S4 was complaining about the internal memory they got after the system and pre-installed apps. Almost half of the internal memory was taken by them and users got half. Samsung later said they will look into this matter and try to make more space for the users. The Samsung Galaxy S4 Google Edition will be available in the US for $649.

The Nexus experienced Samsung Galaxy S4 will have more internal memory and bootloader unlocked but will lose all the Samsung apps and modification. This is a bad news for users, for sure the camera app was nice from Samsung.

Google Nexus Experience Device – HTC One

The HTC One was released on March 2013 worldwide with 4.7″ Super LCD3 capacitive touchscreen and Corning Gorilla Glass 2 protection. It was released with Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean with Sense 5.0 UI, but recently HTC updated it to Android 4.2.2 still with Sense 5. This phone features Beats Audio sound enhancement. Released with Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 quad-core 1.7 GHz Karit 300 processor, Adreno 320 GPU and a massive 2 GB RAM which is nearly the same spec as Galaxy S4.

The primary camera is 13 MP with autofocus and LED flash, 1/3″ sensor size. It supports simultaneous HD 1080p image and video recording, geo-tagging, face and smile detection, optical image and video stabilization with HDR feature and a secondary 2.1 MP front facing camera which is also HD 1080p with HDR. HTC One is available both in 3G and 4G LTE supported.

The HTC One Google version will release on June 26th and will be available for $599 in the US with Beats Audio. You can buy it from the Google Play Store. The Google Nexus Experience device HTC One will lose all of its customization done by HTC. More precisely it will be Sense-less. I really liked the Sense on HTC devices and all the weather animation. You will lose the nice camera app made by HTC as well. Plenty things to sacrifice but you are gaining more Google love for your device. HTC might release stock Android for the existing HTC One users. The existing users should be happy as well.

Anyway, both of the device are coming out with stock Android and more support but the prices are bit high. Not cheaper like other Google Nexus devices. I know that these two devices are not actual Nexus device but getting some vanilla Android, should have been bit cheaper than the current device price.
