Android 4.4.1 for Nexus 5 – Download & Flash with CWM or TWRP

Android 4.4.1 started rolling out for Nexus 5 phones from yesterday. This is a worldwide rollout and you will receive the OTA update if you are using only stock Android. For rooted device there is a zip file as well for you to enjoy. Android 4.4 KitKat was released over a month ago and this is a really quick update. This Android update brings a dramatic improvement of your Nexus 5’s camera. And, the Baseband got updated from M8974A-1.0.25.0.17 to M8974A-1.0.25.0.23.

XDA Senior Member bigxie have a latest version of stock Android 4.4.1 for Nexus 5 users. This update is flashable from a custom recovery; CWM or TWRP. This is the OTA update, Android 4.4.1 KOT49E is Rooted, Odexed and Busybox installed. You just need to flash the file. You can download the latest Radio file to flash as well. Also there is a working version of Super SU 1.80 by chainfire.

This ROM is pure stock, and you will have root access. It does not offer any customizations, but you have root. So, customize your Nexus 5 from the stock Android 4.4.1. There is a camera mod for Nexus 5, which is better than the stock camera app on Android 4.4 running Nexus 5. Now, the update came from Google with an incremental update of Android.
