Google Preparing Android 4.3 (JellyBean) For Next Google I/O

29th April 2013 by TLHD

Is Google Going To Announce Android 4.3 Jelly Bean or Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie on upcoming Google I/O?

OK, the dream is over. No Key Lime Pie or Android 5.0 is coming soon. Instead Google is working on an incremental update from 4.2 (current) to 4.3. The Google I/O is a month away. AndroidPolice has discovered some server logs which they found Google is preparing Android 4.3 Jelly Bean Build number JWR23B.

We know that Google employees get all the update before anyone does.purposes. Once I found one Google Nexus One handset made by HTC and it was for a Google employee. He gave the phone to his sister and she brought it to me to know about some functions and I found Android 2.4 inside when we were using Android 2.3 Gingerbread. She was using the Nexus One for few months time and does not knew much about Androids and updates. So, Google developed it few months ahead and released it inside Google premises for bug testing? I dumped the whole OS and shared it on XDA within the community. Within few days Google released Android 2.3.4 which is also Gingerbread.

Anyway, the rumour looks like true. Key Lime Pie is not coming any time soon. We’ve to wait for that. Now, we have reasons to believe that Google wants to give some time for Developers and OEMs to breath properly otherwise they can’t cope with updates basically OEMs. After giving lots of promises manufactures are not that much quick to publish an update for the existing phones.

The current Android devices which is using Android 4.3 is Nexus 4 and Nexus 7. Google generally prepare the update at least one month prior to Google I/O there are not so much time left to announce any major update. I mean, of course there is time but Google doesn’t do it that way. Google start to prepare and give it a version name and number at least one month prior to Google I/O.

As I was saying, I found Android 2.4 in an employees Nexus One and within few days Google officially released 2.3.4. We can still hope Google is announcing Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie in this Google I/O conference (if they have any special surprise for the android users).
