New Nexus 7 with Android 4.3 Announced – What’s New

27th July 2013 by TLHD

Google recently announced the new Nexus 7 with Android 4.3 the latest OS. We were waiting for a long time to get info about this tablet. First everyone assumed Google is going to announce it on Google I/O 2013, but they didn’t. The company brought a revolution on tablet computing on 2012, made by Asus. The Nexus 7 they released and sold was the cheapest, fastest and the best 7″ (inch) tablet in the market. It was a very nice device for its price and performance, still not that bad compared to other 7″ tablets. The device got updated with a lot more performance.

New Nexus 7 With Android 4.3

There was a lot of leak and info about this new Nexus 7 tablet. All the wait is over now and people are ordering it in the USA from BestBuy or Amazon. And now its available to order from the Play Store. And UK release date is set to 13 September. That’s more than a month for the Android fans in the UK that they have to wait to get this powerful tablet. The price is set to £199 for the 16 GB version and £239 for the 32 GB version.

What’s New in New Nexus 7 with Android 4.3?

The short answer is a lot. There are plenty of optimization and bug fixes in Android 4.3 with a lot new features. Improved user experience. This is just the software side, the hardware part is more interesting. The upgrades compared to the 2012 Nexus 7 is below in the table.

As you can see from the comparison the new version carry more specs and faster than the previous one. The new Nexus 7 is even slimmer than the other one. Less battery power than the Nexus 7, no idea why Google did it.

This new Nexus 7 with Android 4.3 is first 7″ Full HD display tablet in the world now. A powerful gaming device with the announcement of OpenGL ES 3.0 will take gaming to the next level. We’ve seen some demo videos Google event and they looked really nice. Overall this definitely a better upgrade from the 2012 Nexus 7 model.

Still this is a very tempting device. Will you get one?
