Blackberry updated their BBM for Android app to version 1.0.0.72 yesterday. BBM was downloaded 10M+ times in 24 hours and it came up at most popular app list. BBM 1.0.0.72 brought some bug fixes and performance improvements. And now it supports more Android devices. Though Blackberry didn’t publish any list of devices which are newly supported. You need to find it out.
BBM 1.0.0.72 is just an incremental update from its earlier version BBM 1.0.0.70. The difference is not so much. From size it is 12980K, only 1K up from the first official version of BBM for Android. The BBM apk download is here for you at the end of the post to give it a try.
BlackBerry Messenger (BBM 1.0.0.72) is free for all Android users who have supported devices and OS. You have to be running minimum ICS (Android 4.0) on your smartphone.
Blackberry did took a long time to publish the BBM for Android and iPhone. After their famous messaging service published in the Play Store, Blackberry took time to let the users use it. Like any other app, we couldn’t use it after installing the app in our device. Well, until I was in the front of the line.

Fake Reviews on the Play Store
Blackberry is under fire about the fake reviews their BBM app receiving in the Play Store. Yesterday night @BBM posted a statement on Twitter:
Those weird duplicate reviews of #BBM on Google Play? Definitely not our doing. Love feedback, but pls keep it real, peeps!

Update
Conclusion
The journey for BBM on different platform just started. In time there will more updates and improvements. We need to give them some time to update it. By that time, hopefully someone at XDA will find out to use BBM almost on all Android devices. If not all, that will be a lot.
