UK users can now pre order Moto G 2nd Gen network unlocked dual SIM phone for £145. This is a refreshed and upgraded version of last year’s Moto G. This XT1068 model of 2014 comes in a larger size screen than the original. Moto G was the most affordable mid range phone of last year. They were quite popular worldwide. Customers were happy with its performance and the design in their hands.
2nd Gen Moto G Specs
Last week we posted about the 2nd gen Moto X and Moto 360 announcement for UK. This 2nd Gen Motorola Moto G has plenty to offer as well. The major change in this phone is, it comes with a 5″ 720p IPS HD display. 1.2 GHz quad-core Snapdragon processor, 1GB RAM & 8/16 GB internal storage. In addition, Motorola put there a microSD slot which supports upto 32GB card. This wasn’t available in the first version of Moto G. Also, there is an upgraded WiFi chip integrated with this model.
Camera on 2nd gen Moto G upgraded to 8MP from 5MP in the back and the front one is now 2MP from 1.3MP. Still, the camera can record only 720p HD videos. No full HD 1080p yet.
The Moto G XT1068 will be running on Android 4.4.4 KitKat out of the box. And, Motorola says it can be further upgraded to Android L when it releases. There is no change or no larger size battery. The total weight of the phone is 149g, which is 6g more than the original.
