Google Indic Keyboard – Type Bangla Easily on Android

Bengali users out there who loves Android and Bangla, and love to do all the typing in social media, updates or emails in Bengali, now you can do it with ease with Google Indic Keyboard. There were plenty other keyboard app found in Play Store. I have been using Ridmik Keyboard before this to type and use Bangla on my Android devices. I have been waiting for this for a long time, to get a Bangla keyboard officially released by Google, as I have been using Google Keyboard on all my Android devices too. This one is very easy to use and gives you better word prediction.

Languages that Google Indic Keyboard supports

At the moment Google Indic Keyboard app supports about 12 languages including Bangla. Others include English and 10 different languages from India including Hindi.

– Assamese keyboard (অসমীয়া)
– Bengali keyboard (বাংলা)
– Gujarati keyboard (ગુજરાતી)
– Hindi keyboard (हिंदी)
– Kannada keyboard (ಕನ್ನಡ)
– Malayalam keyboard (മലയാളം)
– Marathi keyboard (मराठी)
– Odia keyboard (ଓଡ଼ିଆ)
– Punjabi keyboard (ਪੰਜਾਬੀ)
– Tamil keyboard (தமிழ்)
– Telugu keyboard (తెలుగు)

At the time of writing Google Indic Keyboard has been downloaded over 10 million times and has 4.2 rating on Play Store. The app will work on Android devices running minimum 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich, API 14) to Android 6.0 Marshmallow. There are 2 different versions of the keyboard app for 32-bit and 64-bit devices. If you download and install it from Play Store, you will get the version right for your device.

The keyboard app is totally free from Google Play Store. There is no in-app purchases or ad-free version. If you want to download and install Google Indic Keyboard in your device follow this link to Play Store. Make sure you enable and set it up from settings as well.
