Virtual Reality (VR) is growing, more and more devices, services coming in to support VR. YouTube launched support for 360-degree video March last year. One year later, this April YouTube enabled live streaming of 360-degree video. They also offered immersive spatial audio on demand, the end experience is more lively. You can hear the noise coming to you from everywhere like in real-life.
There are already a lot of 360-degree videos in YouTube since last year. YouTube also created a playlist with 7 videos named “Immersive Videos With Spatial Audio” watch them from this link on your Android device. Use your headphones for the best audio experience. They are really nice videos and will make you say WOW!
YouTube 360-degree video live streaming will now decrease the distance and ability. Users can enjoy live events without being there in real-time. It opens up a new door for VR world which is still in its early stage but growing fast. There are already some VR headset and 360-degree cameras in the market. More recording and viewing devices are coming soon. I own a Gear VR and from my experience it is awesome but surely it needs more features and better quality. I hope that we don’t have to wait long to see that.
