The UK mobile network provider O2 is bringing 4G services in 3 cities from 29th August. That was quick, didn’t see it coming. London, Leeds and Bradford will get the first O2 4G service in the UK. O2 will be the second network to provide 4G service after EE. Vodafone is brining 4G service soon for their customers too.
O2 didn’t say much about their 4G services and plans. On their website they put an option to register for your interest and learn more about 4G. O2 have a range of devices which are 4G ready. If you already are using a LTE enabled handset you don’t need to buy a new one.
We are curious about the services and plans they offer for the 4G network and services. A second 4G operator means there will be a competition at least. And when there will Vodafone in the market it will increase get more customers. O2 4G will definitely give you more speed on internet browsing and streaming media content. You can get all your information in your device very fast.
O2 plans to bring its 4G services to more cities by the end of this year. As they listed London, Birmingham, Leeds, Bradford, Newcastle, Glasgow, Liverpool, Nottingham, Leicester, Coventry, Sheffield, Manchester and Edinburgh. About 98% coverage in the UK by 2015.
