BlackBerry messenger aka BBM app for Android is now on hold. Even BBM for iOS. The company recently announced their vastly used instant messaging service for Android and iOS. They clearly outlined the dates of the release of the app on different platforms. Android users were supposed to get it on 21st of September and iOS users to get it on 22.
BlackBerry Limited didn’t keep their promise. Millions of Android users worldwide were eagerly waiting for the BBM app to be published on Google Play Store. Instead of publishing the BBM app for Android users BlackBerry pushed their love for iOS users in Apple App store one day early. iOS users who already got it on their phone can use it. The play store is now full of fake BBM app. Friendly advice, don’t download them.
A leaked version of BBM for Android became available online for users. It has been downloaded 1m+ times. BlackBerry has issued a statement regarding this matter. They stated that BBM for android and iOS is now on hold and delayed. The cause of delay? They referred to the leaked version of the app caused problem. The download and usage of this app on Android 1.1m times in the first 8 hours. And this caused some trouble and pushed back the release of the app.
