The new Gmail 4.7.2 (967015) Android app update is here with some new features. Gmail now auto-shows images inside the email messages. You need to tap to “Show pictures” any more. Google announced this feature update recently and they did it very quick.
This update makes the other Gmail 4.7 and Gmail 4.6 versions older. This is an incremental update of Gmail Android app. The update is only 4.68MB in size and updated on January 10 2014. Google started rolling out this update to Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) and higher devices. It might take a while for everyone to get this update.
If you don’t want to wait, there is a way. The Gmail 4.7.2 apk included for you to download from the bottom of this post. Google even enabled email to everyone even if you don’t have them in your contacts list. Now, Gmail lets you send e-mail to your Google+ circles.
The new Gmail 4.7.2 app comes with enhanced performance for low-memory devices. And, now supports a wide range of file type for attachment. The attachments in the messages will auto download when you are using WiFi connection.
Google will filter all the images through a secure proxy server. The new Gmail feature will use a lot of data. If you have unlimited 3G / 4G or WiFi there’s no problem.
