How to Send Komodo or Any Smart Chain Funds from Your Address Without Rescanning the Wallet?

15th July 2020 by TLHD

Rescan can take a long time to finish if you have thousands of transactions in your wallet. This is the case mostly for Komodo Notary Nodes. Notary Nodes are making transactions every seconds and wallet.dat size builds up over the time. It can grow couple of GB in an entire season. To maintain performance Notary Node operators resets wallet or uses cleanwallettransaction RPC call which cleans up transactions for them.komodo-debug-log

This guide is aimed at Notary Node operators who wish to salvage or retrieve funds from their wallet without rescanning the full blockchain. Use Komodo’s DEXP2P Tech for Live Streaming [How-to]

28th January 2020 by TLHD

Introduction

Komodo’s lead developer/founder James Lee “jl777” recently started working on an exciting new tech to scale atomicDEX orderbook called “dexp2p”. This will work as realtime decentralised p2p orderbook and millions of orders can be displayed without clogging down the p2p network. While this is a great solution for atomicDEX orderbook, it opens door for many new possibilities. One of them is live streaming of video or any other files.

DEXP2P

This live streaming works pretty well as it was developed in the last few days. On my testing, I used one computer with one of TechLoverHD’s YouTube video in a loop with OBS Studio software to record as stream. This way the file grows as time passes and gets uploaded to the p2p network while another computer subscribes to that stream. That enables the files to be downloaded as more parts are being uploaded at the same time and the file can be played with VLC or any other compatible player. [Read more…]

AtomicDEX Mobile Decentralised Exchange is Out for Public Beta Testing

8th September 2019 by TLHD

Komodo, the pioneer of decentralised cross-chain Atomic Swap has released their new version of mobile AtomicDEX (Decentralised Exchange) for public beta testing. The app also works as mobile wallet using SPV (Simple Payment Validation) servers for listed coins. They have been working on mobile first approach this year for this flagship product and have been conducting closed beta testing. Many projects are working on decentralised exchanges (DEX) for the last few years and none of them has a true DEX product yet with the exception of Komodo. Users are losing trust over centralised exchanges (CEX) due to limitations, hack, loss of funds, bankruptcy, government regulations and KYC implementation etc.
