Samsung’s next compact system camera (CSC), NX500 is up on the pre-order row. The smart camera is having the same 28MP BSI APS-C CMOS sensor as found on Samsung NX1. Meaning you can have all the benefits of the sensor and DRIMe V image processor in a compact body. As for the price, it is cheaper. If you couldn’t get a NX1 because of the price, you can consider getting an NX500. Samsung NX1 Getting a Big Firmware Update
Samsung soon releasing a firmware update for the NX1 camera. This is going to be a huge update for the camera and this will be the second update from Samsung. The update supposed to bring the firmware version to 1.2. Previous update was v1.10. The firmware update will release in “mid-January” and no other date set.
